Working in Partnership with Schools and Early Years Settings
We encourage children to participate in Exercise and Sport
Our aim is to develop links with Schools and Early Year settings so children can grow up with a positive attitude toward Sport and be responsible for their own health, have respect for others and have greater self-esteem for themselves. We emphasise the importance of teamwork through games and aim to build confidence as well as teaching some basic martial art moves!

- The value of setting goals and achieving them
- Perseverance and the importance of staying power
- Confidence in dealing with life situations
How does Martial Arts fit into the National Curriculum?
We emphasise the fun in sport and exercise and the children who participate really do enjoy our activity. Furthermore we encourage teamwork through play, improving the children's confidence as they successfully cooperate with each other.
Our lessons include learning a martial art sequence of movements, incorporating; coordination, control, balance and flexibility. Many of our games include, running in team relays, catching bean bags and jumping over obstacles.
Our core values are; Respect, Fairness and Manners.
The children will be challenged through learning. Moreover, our Instructors follow structured lesson plans with an emphasis on developing the children's skills and their understanding on how to improve.
They will evaluate their performance using the information and knowledge they learn, further adding to the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Finally, we will provide a Certificate of Achievement for every child enabling the children to recognise their success.
What we offer
We can provide sessions for any length of time and can run them on a weekly basis or indeed whenever we are required!
The courses are suitable for Pre School, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2; all the children need is their normal P.E kit (or comfortable clothing), we supply all other equipment. Our coaches are Fully Insured, CRB/DBS checked, experienced Martial Arts Instructors and with Public Liability Insurance.
We can teach our sessions in a large class room, School Hall or any space where books, toys etc are cleared away safely. On good weather days we love to go outdoors to teach.
We can work with your school in school time or out of hours, morning or afternoon. You may wish our programme to be used as a change to the usual PE activities, PPA cover or extracurricular programmes.
We are inclusive of all abilities and levels of fitness. Both Boys and Girls enjoy our Ninja Tots/Kids courses, even those who would not normally participate in sports
We can also provide:
- One off events, such as School Sports Fair
- A session to tie in with any national campaign such as 'National Sports Week'
- Host a talk on a subject relevant to your values topics (such as kindness, role models, stranger danger and anti-bullying)
We take an imaginative and animated approach to teaching martial arts, making our sessions unique and fun
Who are we?
Ninja Tots and Kids has been operating since 2002 under the leadership of Victoria Foote. Victoria's own interest in Martial Arts was sparked during a PE session where she tried out a 'new activity' and instantly loved it. This led to attending sessions outside of School, eventually leading to taking up martial arts in a competitive capacity at National and International level. Victoria realised her ambition by becoming a member of the British team attending both World Championships and Olympic trials. She became Regional, National and British Champion and was chosen as Best Female Black Belt by the Sports highest body. Following a degree in Leisure Management and Career in Sports, Victoria turned her hobby into a successful business. She now successfully balances running a business with looking after her family and two children.
Ninja Tots and Kids would not exist today if I hadn't been given the opportunity of trying a new sport during my School PE lesson
We have worked with many Early Years settings and Schools including: Powell's Primary School and Acorns Nursery in Cirencester. Bussage Primary in Stroud. Liden Primary School in Swindon. Westonbirt Prep School, North Cerney and Bibury Primary Schools in Gloucestershire. Drove Primary School and Croft Pre-School in Swindon. Ashton Keynes Primary and Crudwell Pre-school in Wiltshire.
